Dear Fringe Enthusiast,

Following the hugely succesful and incredibly fun Opening Night Celebration on the 17th, the Fringe commenced regular shows on Friday night at venues all over downtown Boulder.

Read on to find out about the shows playing this weekend, a list of changes and cancellations, as well as a brief recap of opening night's festivities. Get out there and start Fringing!

2006 FRINGE-FEST OPENING NIGHT

The Boulder International Fringe Festival kicked off it's 2006 festival at The Boulder Theater in true Fringe style. The crowd was lively the entertainment was great and there were special guests galore. We're sorry if you missed it because you're going to have to wait another full year for another kick-off party like that!

Highlights of the evening:

• Mayor Mark Ruzzin declares August 17-28, 2006 to be official Boulder International Fringe Week in Boulder.



• Eddy the Eskimo hosts the All-You-Can-Artist, where each artist had 1 minute to preview their show, followed by a 30 second interview.



• The Asylum Street Spankers top off the night with a raucously lively and engaging show.



Below are a list of all of the Festival's cancellations and changes that have taken place since the program went to print:

Cancellations of a Company's entire run
hinge's "The Reunion Tour" has been CANCELED
Lindsay Caron's "An Arizona Story" has been CANCELED
Staats Performance Work's "Into the Gloaming" has been CANCELED

Cancellations of individual shows.
The Gangster and the Prankster's show "The Gangster and the Prankster" on Saturday, August 26th at 8:30pm.

Cancellations of Workshops
Delisa Myles' workshop"Dance Skills for Humankind" has been CANCELED
