Dear Fringe Enthusiast,

Do you have the Fringe buzz yet?? You're probably scrambling get to all of the great shows as it is, but here are a couple special event items you may want to consider:

This Tuesday is Fashion Denver on the Fringe. Naturally, it isn't your typical runway show (surely there's a penalty for using the word "typical" during Fringe), but more like fashion with a twist (and a timer). Designers from the Fashion Denver Designer Forum will compete in five minute off the cuff fashion challenges. Critics rave: "it's seamless and sew fun!". It's all that and a DJ: Tuesday 7:00pm at the Laughing Goat.

fivefour performing "my space is sometimes yours"

This Wednesday is the first ever Fast Forward Fringe. This cinematic feast of up-and-coming talent will be hosted by the inestimable Pierre Jean-Pierre St. Pierre. Three new films will be featured, and director interviews will be conducted by Waylon H. Lewis of Elephant Magazine. Please Note: Fast Forward Fringe includes adult themes, adult language, and childlike enthusiasm... milk duds are optional. Wednesday 7:00pm in the Muenzinger Auditorium on CU Campus.

The cast of "Crave" at the Daily C.R.A.B.

Also on Wednesday is the all new Performance Jam. This is a low-tech playground for fringe artists to mix with the community and perform in a relaxed environment. Participants include Naropa faculty, Naropa students, and YOU (a virtual Fringe stew!). The Jam will be followed by a Dance Party. To sign up for a 5 minute slot, contact Joan Bruemmer at: shedanzs@gmail.com. Wednesday 8:30pm-12:00am at the Naropa Performing Arts Center.

For more information on any of these events, see page 18 of your printed program or

It's a fun way to support the festival and meet interesting people. Plus, volunteers get Fringe benefits, such as passes to shows, invites to parties, and stylish staff shirts. There is an amazing amount of work to do, so sign up today by emailing marko at volunteers@boulderfringe.com or calling him at 515.689.8183.
