CALL FOR ARTISTS! (The Artist Call for 2011 is now closed.)

The Poetry in Motion Project is an exciting cross-disciplinary event produced by the Boulder International Fringe Festival that inspires new works from poets, filmmakers and dancer/choreographers.

The 2011 Project goes like this:

Poets write a poem with the theme “Available Space.”

Filmmakers receive a poem and use its inspiration to create a new short film.

Dancer/Choreographers receive a poem and use its inspiration to create a new site-specific installation piece.

Important Dates:

JULY 28: DEADLINE EXTENDED TO AUGUST 1ST!  Come one, come all brave and wild-spirited artists!  Deadline for poetry submission and deadline for filmmakers and dancers to register.

AUGUST 1:  Filmmakers and dancers receive their poems.

AUGUST 11:  Completed short films are due.

AUGUST 13:  A full day of Poetry in Motion in Boulder!  Site-specific pieces are performed, films are screened, poetry is read, magic is in the air.
