The Fractal Society
Cirque de Menses follows the story of a young girl during her first menstrual cycle. With the guidance of Aunt Flo, her Fairy Flow Mother, she goes on a journey to normalize menstruation and embrace her experience. The show flows through light, comedic interpretations and heavier personal experiences to celebrate the magic of menstruation. Cirque de Menses is a performance presented in 2 Acts for menstruators, non-menstruators, former menstruators, and still-to-become menstruators alike! Through this event, we will raise funds for PridePads Africa, a 501c3 nonprofit founded in Boulder, CO. PridePads Africa produces biodegradable, earth friendly, and affordable menstrual pads for girls and women in rural Cameroon. The PridePads team also provides menstrual health education in schools in Cameroon to both boys and girls, as well as sensitization and de-stigmatization campaigns surrounding menstruation. A portion of ticket proceeds will go directly to PridePads Africa. Together we will be able to create a unique opportunity for real, tangible impact for the women and girls in Cameroon!
